Krownly Privacy Policy
Krownly Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 30, 2026
This policy describes how information is handled when you use the Krownly iPhone app.
Information Stored on Your Device
Krownly stores the following information locally on your iPhone:
- Your account email and hashed password credentials in iOS Keychain for local login and optional biometric sign-in.
- App preferences in UserDefaults, such as your remembered email and auto-save preference.
- Captured videos and generated analysis history in app-local storage.
Krownly does not send this information to Eddie Morrissey or to third-party servers.
If you enable saving media to Photos, Krownly writes selected media to your Photos library with your permission.
How Information Is Used
Local information is used to authenticate you in the app, support optional remembered login and biometrics, preserve settings, and display your saved videos and analysis history.
Data Sharing and Tracking
Krownly does not sell personal data, share personal data with third parties, or track you across apps or websites.
Permissions
Krownly may request Camera and Microphone access to record videos, Motion access to guide scan angles, Face ID access for optional biometric sign-in, and Photos access only when you choose to save media to Photos. You can change permissions in iOS Settings.
Retention and Deletion
Information remains on your iPhone unless you delete it. Use Settings → Delete Account in Krownly to remove your local account credentials, saved videos, and analysis history, then sign out. Copies previously saved to Photos remain in Photos and can be deleted there. Uninstalling Krownly also removes app-local information.
Children’s Privacy
Krownly is not directed to children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. Material updates will be reflected by revising the effective date.
